Even in the most developed countries like America, immigrants still struggle to have their voice heard. As a result of this, many civil nonprofit organizations, the American Immigration Council included have stepped into the picture to help these immigrants have their freedom. The American Immigration Council was founded in 1987 and has since then been the champions of how Americans honor and treat their immigrants.
This organization carries out its activities in a number of ways. First, through litigation. American Immigration Council is widely respected for its watchdog role in the community. Thanks to the competent and skillful attorneys the council has, this organization has been able to bring justice and fairness to the American immigrants through the many lawsuits it prosecutes against the government.
The second role the American Immigration Council plays that helps champion for the rights of immigrants in America is through public education. Despite being the minority group in the land, immigrants too are of great value to its economy. Some of the greatest innovations we have today can be attributed to some immigrants.
It is through this realization that the American Immigration Council has tasked itself with this enormous responsibility of educating its public. To achieve this, the council conducts thorough research and analysis in order to come up with credible information it can pass to its members.
Finally, promotes cultural exchange. To demystify the myth behind immigrants, the council has on a number of times sponsored trainees and interns to programs that champion for the cultural prosperity of communities around the world. The council also hosts attorneys and communities from different corners of the world and offers them training. This exposure helps the organization emphasize the importance of building a humane and fair community that caters for its people.
While this may seem too much to handle, the American Immigration Council can achieve all of it. Since the organization has the necessary intellectual capacity to succeed, it heavily relies on financial support from wealthy individuals and organizations. One organization that has had the American Immigration Council’s back has been the Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund.

These two journalists were quite vocal about the injustices committed by the Sherriff and went forward to publish some of the injustices on the front page of their column a fact that got the Sherriff angry hence their unlawful arrest.
