Kevin Seawright is an accountant and project manager. He has a wide range of experience in accounting, capital management and operation, especially in the municipal area. His vast experience has helped Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, DC governments.
Some of Seawright’s past financial responsibilities have included creating and implementing a new accounting platform for the Commission of Aging and Retirement for the city of Baltimore. He has also taken on roles in government real estate and department of education.
Kevin Seawright has also found payroll challenges with the Baltimore City Housing Authority as the Payroll Director and later took on the Department of Parks and Recreation as the Chief Financial Facilities Officer.
After a six year stint as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the City of Baltimore education entity, Seawright made the decision to relocate to Washington, DC and join Tito Contractors as the Finance and Capital Director.
While at Tito Contractors, Seawright accrued experience in real estate development and small business. He develops strategies and solutions for the City of Newark. Seawright is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Newark Economic Development Community (NEDC). The group works to attract, grow and retain business in Newark.
The group also works to jump start real estate development throughout the city. The overall mission of the group is to give the city a facelift on all levels and improve the quality of life for all. Crunchbase has it that Kevin Seawright is also involved in his community. He coaches local youth sports teams and is a Board Member for the Babe Ruth Museum. He was a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, the National Forum for Black Public Administrators and the American Society of Public Administration.
Seawright earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accounting from Almeda University and an Executive Leadership Certificate from the Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business.
